Terms of service

Last updated October 2026

Using Rally means agreeing to be honest with people who are giving you their money. These are the terms that make that concrete.

Who can use Rally

  • You must be 18 or older to start a Rally, receive funds or donate.
  • You need your own account. Organizers must be able to complete recipient verification before any payout.
  • You may not use Rally for illegal activity, to evade sanctions, or to raise money for hateful, fraudulent or deceptive purposes.

Honest campaigns

  • Everything you publish about yourself, your situation and your use of funds must be true and remain accurate.
  • You may only raise money for a beneficiary other than yourself with their consent, and you must be able to show that consent.
  • One campaign per real need. Duplicating a campaign to multiply donations is prohibited.
  • Rally may suspend a campaign while a report or review is open, and may refuse to publish anything that fails a required check.

Fees

  • Rally charges a platform fee on eligible donations — currently 5%, configurable by platform administrators. It is recorded separately on every transaction and shown to the donor before payment.
  • The payment provider charges a processing fee. Donors see the total before confirming.
  • There is no charge to create or publish a Rally.

Donations, refunds and disputes

  • Donations are voluntary gifts. They are not tax-deductible unless an organizer states otherwise and is able to substantiate it.
  • A donation is only complete once our payment provider confirms it server-side. Rally never records an unconfirmed payment as money raised.
  • Refunds and chargebacks follow the payment provider's rules. Where a campaign is suspended for breaking these terms, we review eligible donations for refund.

Payouts

  • Confirmed donations become available for payout after provider processing and recipient verification.
  • Timing depends on the payment provider's eligibility checks. Rally does not promise instant payouts, and a payout is only recorded as paid once the provider confirms it.

Your content and account

  • You keep ownership of what you publish and grant Rally permission to display it on the platform and in share previews.
  • You can delete your account from Account settings. Campaigns that received confirmed donations are kept for as long as financial records are required.
  • Rally may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms, and will record those decisions in its audit log.

This page describes how Rally works today in plain language. It isn't legal advice, and the terms you accept when you create an account govern your use of the platform.
